INTRODUCTION
We can find various types of flowers in different parts of our
country. We grow flowers in our field and kitchen garden. Floriculture refers
to the farming of flowers for domestic or commercial purposes. Some flowers can
be grown in rainy season and some in winter season. Similarly, according to
varieties and nature of flowers, they can be grown in the Terai or Hilly or
Mountain regions. Thus, due to the diversity in climate and topography, there
is a diversity in floriculture also. Commercial floriculture is popular in
Nepal along with the production of flowers for domestic purpose.

Makhamali, Lahure,
Parijat, Chameli, Indrakamal, etc. In the
different parts
of our country, we can
find various types of seasonal
flowers booming in different colours.
These flowers are used to offer to gods and goddesses during
worshiping and giving present to people on special occasions .Similarly,
flowers are used for decoration on special occasions like marriage ceremonies,
birthdays, etc. In order to grow various types of flowers, it is necessary to
identify varieties of flowers according to the place and climatic condition.
